forum login on android phone

while i was out and about this morning i got an email inviting me to view a private message from the forum but when i tried to log into the forum it said that i couldnt as my username has an invalid character. so i waited until i was at home and managed to log in using my laptop and got to read my messages. so what is wrong with the  forum site on my phone?

i cannot work out how to do a screen shot on my phone (because i am old/useless) i just want to know what i have to do to get it to work on my phone as well as my laptop. hopefully someone here will be able to help before google get back to me, if ever.
