End of contract app offers

I see many commenting on seeing renewal offers in the app. How many days before the end of your contract have you seen a renewal offer appear in the app?

Does everyone get ‘an offer’?

I have 37 days until the end of my contract or, put another way, I have 7 days until I will start to become liable for the increased end of contract prices, given the 30 days notice.

I’m currently paying £66 and I can see on my website login that from 30 April, after RPI+ price increases and the end of my 18 month discount period, my monthly fee will increase to £198! That’s certainly not an offer, nor a price I will pay.

  • My renewal offers appeared 6 weeks before my contract ended. Maybe even a bit longer!

My offers (such as they are) started five months before my current end date.

If you are content with paying the price for now, after the 18 months you will get a fresh offer, designed to look cheap against that £198.

And if you don't currently have alternative FTTP providers, you might very well have several after 18 months at the rate Openreach are installing around the country.

  • Mine was about 4 weeks, but then they started the contract there and there, NOT when the current contract came to an end, so beware. Apparently you have to specifically ask for that, which hard to do when just the online renewal.
