VM account not linked to O2 but no SIM
Help....I'm going around in circles. Took the VM package with a SIM (Volt maybe?) but had no intention of using the sim card. Decided it was a waste so now want to use it but cannot physically find it (well I have found an o2 sim but if I put it in my phone, it doesn't work and I am not sure it is the right one anyway). Tried to access VM or O2 support through lots of routes but failed. Tried to link my VM account but gets to a point where it wants to send code to the O2 phone which I don't have because I don't have the sim. I think I need to order a replacement sim somehow and then activate it then link accounts. I have tried to re-register with O2 but that just sends me to the VMO2 website (where I eventually get texted to the number I don't have). Anyone had similar and been successful? please don't send me to the online msgbot :-o49Views0likes5CommentsLost access to O2 account
I have not been able to log in to my O2 account for a few days on the app or website . I enter my virginmedia.com email address but i get an error to say it is invalid. When i click forgot email address i get a text with the exact email address VM are saying is invalid. ??? I am about to go abroad and need to add data to my O2 mobile but cant access the account.. This really is awful service . Looking in this community it looks like VM /O2 have not tested this new merge of services at all. I have several mobile accounts which i now cant access. Chat has been no help , Phoning customer service has no idea why i cant access and raised a ticket from which i have heard nothing and my next stop is the local o2 shop where i will probably be fobbed off. VM/O2 please sort this , your about to lose a lot of customers.80Views0likes2CommentsO2 and Virgin Mobile unwilling to repair my phone
I got my iPhone 14 Pro Deep Purple phone from Virgin Mobile date 4th January 2023 according to my contract - which was Early Bird, a contract I got specifically because the ability to upgrade early. The phone stopped working properly in October 2024. I told Apple first - they said they only have a warranty period of one year but Virgin and O2 should have a period of up to 2-3 years and my phone should be fixed free of charge due to it being a phone defect. There was no place for me to log into my Virgin Mobile so I reached out to O2. When I contacted them I was repeatedly told the phone is out of warranty and they cannot do anything about it and that I will be charged full price to repair it. My contract was taken out in January 2023 and I raised my issue in October 2024 - well within a two year warranty period. I need my contract to be honoured. Both Virgin Mobile and O2 are acting like it is not their problem. I've not been able to use my phone since October and have been paying for a phone contract that I haven't even been able to use. This is terrible! I am seriously considering switching service providers once this issue is resolved.90Views0likes2Comments
