Bad lag and slow website loading times
I've had VM 1gig for a couple of weeks. Prior to this I had Plusnet 70mb and didn't really have any issues apart from some slow page loading on occasion. I'm now teaching online and wanted a better connection so switched to Virgin Media. I'm starting to regret that decision. Although broadband speed checks say that I am getting 1gb, it's taking considerably longer for websites to load, trying to teach on Teams and having other sites/apps open is near impossible, and I'm getting a lot of lag on my computer in general now. I looked at the network log and can see these issues - can anyone guide me on steps I can take to fix them? I need a stable internet connection! Everytime I'm watching rugby league on sky sports plus red button it's laggy and horrible. Every couple of seconds it's like it's buffering/skipping. It's so annoying. Wifi signal strength is showing as 82% and download speed is 600, so surely this shouldn't be happening? I've reset the box (V6) and the router and it's still the same. It's the same problem every week and im getting sick of it. Does anyone have any suggestions please?
