New account after completing a gone away form
I have recently submitted a gone away form where I was told that they are going to try and contact the old account owner at my property to see if they will close the account down. I have since had no confirmation that they have done this except an email to myself saying they have sent out a returns package to return the router and virgin tv box etc. Does this mean I am able to go ahead and begin setting up a new account with VM or not? Also would it be possible to use the setup already installed at the house on the new account or would they have to have me return it and re-install once I have joined?495Views0likes1CommentGone Away email received
Hi, I recently tried opening a new account with Virgin after moving in to a new house. There was still a connection tied to the previous resident so I have received a gone away email rather than an order confirmation. I have spoke to the previous resident and they are trying to cancel their account today. If they are successful in this, what happens to me? Will my router be automatically sent out or will I need to go through the motions of requesting a new service on the website again? Hello, I was supposed to get my router yesterday (January 24, 2024) at my address, and instead received an email saying that you had received my email, and a gone away form was received, and it would take 48 hours to deal with it. I need a connection to work as soon as possible, and it is impossible to track the modem delivery since you do not provide any information to follow up. In addition, I have not been able to sign up for a virgin media account as I have not been allocated an account number. Why is this? I have the order number but this is not the same! I have moved in a new property where Virgin was already installed, and routers and other Virgin Stuff has been left by previous tenants. Also, I have received a Gone Away form message which seems to stop the delivery of my new router (It is supposed to arrive this Saturday 20th) Is the router going to arrive on Saturday? Also, what should I do with the Virgin stuff? Thanks.
