Phantom Ethernet Connection
Bit of a head scratcher here. I've been trying to port-forward for my desktop's minecraft server via its ethernet connection, but while I've managed to set up DHCP for my computer & port forward to it, the (3.0) hub continually insists that there are no devices connected via ethernet... Given that I can turn off my computer's wifi connection and still access the internet via the ethernet adapter, and ipconfig reports I'm happily bound to 192.168.0.112 (as I defined in DHCP settings) I'm somewhat stumped. Ordinarily this would be a minor curiosity and little more since I am -in fact- still connected to the net, but people connecting to the minecraft server via the external ip seem to have massively strangled connections. They can find the server and connect, but then experience phenomena demonstrative of an unworkably sketchy connection (connection time-outs, infinite loading). Are these things connected? Is there some setting I've missed somewhere that might be choking my connections? I've got firewall rules set inbound & outbound for both TCP & UDP on the relevant port... So what's going on? Why does my ethernet connection seem intent on pretending it doesn't exist?427Views0likes2CommentsSuper Hub 3 Resets Constanty following outage
Hi, looking for advice on my hub re-setting itself following an outage yesterday. The wi-fi has been particularyl poor all week then on Saturday there was an SMS notifcation for two outages. Since then, my hub has been turning itself off, resetting the connection, and then runs normally for around 20 minutes before resetting again. I've tried power cycling the hub but hasn't made any difference - there appears to be critical notifications in the network log in the advanced settings of the hub with timeout messages (?). Any advice on what might be causing this issue?312Views0likes1CommentBad connection for one device
I’m having trouble with my wifi, I set it all up yesterday and have had no problems with connections to phones and TVs but it won’t connect to my PC properly. I have full signal on my phone in every room in the house but only 1 bar on my PC. I tried to scan to test the connection in the room my pc is in but because it’s on my phone, it’s saying the connection is good. I’m not sure what to do? I mainly got the wifi for the pc as I use it for everything but it seems to be the only device I’m stuggling with.733Views0likes6CommentsHaving issues every day since being upgraded to a SH5
As above, recently got upgraded to a SH5 from a 3 - now I'm having issues every day with it - the connection will randomly drop out on the incoming side once or twice a day, with a lot of post-RS errors (it's often much, much higher than these which are the current ones): The wifi is terrible too - it'll often drop the 5ghz network completely and everything will drop back to the 2.4ghz network, sometimes everything reconnects, other times nothing will work until I change the channel back and forth on the router and let it all come back up (even worse, the channel changing bug where it won't change channel unless you also change channel width and then change it back, is STILL there in the software and that's a bug I reported probably 4-5 YEARS ago, come on, really?!) Didn't have any issues with the SH3 like this, possibly a faulty SH5? Anyone had similar issues? I'm also getting awful speed drops, even when the errors on the incoming side stop accumulating, I'll have maybe 60mbps download speed, instead of 1000, and nothing will fix it bar power cycling the router.1.1KViews0likes10Comments
