Book an Engineer for installing a phone line?
I currently do have a phone line as part of my Virgin package, which I've never used. I realise I can plug a phone into the hub, but ideally I'd like two sockets with different numbers installed (currently no phone boxes installed in the house) I followed the link below, https://www.virginmedia.com/help/landline/install-home-phone Which has this information: --------- Installing an additional landline You can get a second Virgin Media phone line installed – with a new phone number. This would run along the same line, but have its master socket at another location in your home. The cost of installation is between £10 and £25 depending on deals, normal telephone rates and pricing applies. Here you can book an engineer appointment --------~ Sadly this link to book an appointment 301 redirects to a page for managing an existing appointment... https://www.virginmedia.com/help/how-to/broadband/manage-order-or-appointment Bit frustrated any ideas on how to book and pay for an engineer? Must I really call up and wait on the phone for 4 hours, then get cut off, then call again for 4 hours? I tried the online chat, but they do not deal with phone lines apparently.34Views0likes2CommentsLandline?
Hi there, Forum newbie here. I switched over to Virgin Media when fibre was installed in my street in November. I had had a landline up until then but the engineer indicated that I wouldn't be able to have a home phone line until the 'service' was installed. Not having a landline for 4 months now is proving very inconvenient and I fear I will have lost the number we have had for years (and that our friends/family have in their address books). Is there any way of connecting up a landline in the interim before our area is "serviceable" (in the words of the VM customer service team) AND is there a way of finding out how long it is going to be before our area is connected to the new service? Thanks so much!396Views0likes1Comment
