Every single house or flat in my street have VM except mine. Help please!
Hi, I live on CR8 2JA, where I own a share of the freehold, and every house or apartment block has access to VM Broadband except mine. My building is not hidden in a private street. Access to it is easy, and we're happy to support the installation in any way it is needed. 11 flats in the building would sign up immediately if made accessible. Can someone help, please? Thanks, MattMain Junction box 10 metres away! But not available at my postcode!
I seem to be in the eye of a storm of sorts. The past few months I have watched virgin media install cables in my street. At times even having to navigate around the workers. The main junction box for the area is around 10-15 meters from my home. After checking it seems that every postcode in my town, neighbouring villages and surrounding area are able to get all and any products….. Except my postcode!!! The postcode that has the main Junction box on it! My local area and postcodes where service is available. Location of main Junction box. Please can someone explain this? I have filled out the form to register my interest MANY MANY times…. And not once had any correspondence or even acknowledgment it was received. I have called the customer service number a few times and been treated with the same scripted response each time, each time not being able to explain the situation… nor being able to also explain that the address’ listed that are associated to my postcode are incorrect or incomplete. I work from home and work in the Tech industry. So having fast reliable and fairly priced internet connection is a must. Hence my excitement when I seen the area was finally getting connected. Being able to upgrade from the maximum speed I could get of 67mbs to 1gig… it felt like a dream coming true. My contract with my previous supplier ended three months ago and I am now paying a premium as it’s a rolling contract… not wanting to sign another contract with then or another supplier… knowing Virgin Media are plugged into everyone else except myself. I am not overly confident of a response or even a straight answer… I just really want to know what is going on. JamesService Availability
Hi, Virgin fibre was installed on the street several months ago. Ordered at the first opportunity. Lads came round and installed the box outside, went to connect it on the street and found a problem. Said the order couldnt be completed and it would several months before it would get fixed. Order got cancelled and the availability of the fibre service was removed from the online checker. I checked in earlier this week and its still unavailable for me but the rest of the street can order the service. Can anyone help identify whats going on and why I still cant order. Regards MHow to get VM broadband to flat? It's available for neighbours in same building and next to us
I've recently moved into a flat in London and when I search for broadband availability for my exact address the response is "Whilst we're busy expanding our network, it looks like we're currently unavailable at ADDRESS but we can keep you posted!". However, my neighbours who are part of the same building have Virgin Media broadband and when I search for their flat and and the other neighbouring flats (in the same building) on the VM website, broadband is available for both. But it's not available for the my flat according to the website. Diagram below: 1 - Basement (me): Not available 2 - Ground floor: Available 3 - First floor: Available 4 - Other basement: Available I'm looking for advice on how to approach the right person at Virgin Media, who to speak to, how to explain the issue to hopefully get my flat cabled up and have VM broadband. I have called customer service multiple times and have been told it is simply not possible but this was based on them just checking my postcode and address. I would like this investigated further and more thoroughly. I believe the system is mistaken. Do I first need to have to request a visit by an engineer to inspect the viability of running a cable to my flat? And only then would they be able to change the availability on the website so that I can book it online? Or would I book it manually by speaking to someone? Any help is appreciated
