Hi, I am looking at how to get the cost for terminating my contract, is it as easy as taking your monthly payment and X that by how many months left? Is there also anything about being able to just cancel broadband but keep TV and not be worse off? Basically, looking to move to youfibre broadband. Thanks. Re: Want my refund now, very frustrated Hi, Did you get this resolved? I renewed to a 18mth contract for £50, but the next bill was for £224 and they took it, started a chat on here and the person said it was solved and the money would just stay on the account, they have taken another £141 today, nearly a years payment in 2 mths. Jim Being overcharged after renewal Hi, I have recently renewed my contract and been hit with 2 very big bills. For the last 6 mths i have been paying £48.37 and got a renewal offer as my current contract was running out in May. After back and forth with an adviser on here because the contract never updated on the system, my new monthly amount would be £49. On the 29th of April £224.74 was taken from my bank account and I have been informed yesterday that another £141 will be taken on the 28th of May. What is going on here, trying to speak to someone on the phone is useless, I don't want to use the DD mandate as you will cut me off and I need the internet for work and have 2 children. James Re: Potential fraud You can go to browserling.com and paste in the URL you received, this will open the URL in a sandbox, so if malicious you should be safe, but will also let you see what details have been used. Do not click the link, long press on it and copy. Re: New contract offer not gone through @mikeg2k, Sis you get this resolved, as I think I am in a very similar situation. Got the email, clicked renewal, got the new contract, then radio silence. Agent I spoke to on the phone couldnt find anything about it. Re: Massive Price Increases! I am seriously thinking about dropping TV altogether as it is getting out of hand to watch Scottish football. League is on sky sports, cups are on viaplay, and champions/Europa league is on TNT. Even on your old price you seem to be paying over the odds. I have 500mb broadband (doubled to 1Gb because of volt), TNT, sky sports and movies hd, sky sports uhd, kids/documentary, etc (it used to be called the oomph package) and telephone, and a second V6 box. My monthly bill as about £48, but I have to also have a O2 number which is £25 for unlimited everything. Re: Reviewed and renewed broadband Hi BinxyBoyyy, Did this email come from email@em.virginmedia.co.uk? I am having a similar issue with a missing renewal. Re: Virgin Media Community verification emails do not go through to @yahoo.com domain We are having a similar issue with activation emails being sent from my work. Yahoo doesnt like a specific bit in the url you need to click to (long url if it is similar to ours, not the shortened hyperlink). Forward your registration email from your gmail account to your yahoo account and your will get bounce back with an error "554 Message not allowed - [PH01] Email not accepted for policy reasons...."
