I called it a "work around" but in reality it was just a way of masking the problem. Well I have since found a solution on another forum, so my phone now does ask callers from unrecognised numbers to announce who they are. On the BT4600, select menu, then Settings, then Call Settings, then First Ring - set it "on". That's it. Re: Wrong Time on Handset since moving to Digital Voice I'm puzzled then why last week the time displayed GMT on my PSTN line but others reported GMT+1 on their digital lines. Re: Wrong Time on Handset since moving to Digital VoiceThank you, Client62, that worked! So that must mean that the method of obtaining the time is different on PSTN to 21CV? Re: Wrong Time on Handset since moving to Digital VoiceGuess what. This morning the time displayed by my PSTN-connected phone is still GMT, not GMT+1. It will be interesting to see what happens on Wednesday when it switches over to 21CV.Re: Wrong Time on Handset since moving to Digital VoiceWhoever claimed that the phones are at fault is obviously talking nonsense because new phones display the time automatically after being plugged into the line. It is absurd that we still go through this ritual of changing the clocks twice a year nowadays - the whole concept of "Daylight Saving Time" is ludicrous.Re: IPv6 support on Virgin mediaStrangely enough, IPV6 usage in the UK appears to be dropping recently. https://www.akamai.com/internet-station/cyber-attacks/state-of-the-internet-report/ipv6-adoption-visualizationRe: IPv6 support on Virgin mediaInteresting to see the progress of IPv6 adoption over the whole world since this thread started. https://www.google.com/intl/en/ipv6/statistics.htmlRe: IPv6 support on Virgin mediaI don't expect VMO2 to provide IPV6 any time soon. CityFibre is being built in my street so I expect to be able to switch to another ISP soon.Re: IPv6 support on Virgin media For most customers, IPv4 still does the job. For example, there are virtually no websites which are not accessible via IPv4 - https://ungleich.ch/en-us/cms/blog/2019/02/05/list-of-ipv6-only-services/ Re: IPv6 support on Virgin media Tumbleweed...
