Not due till the 30th of the month as well, and the amount was wrong for my usual monthly fee. Upgrade from 350 to 500 Mbps not activated yet. I took up the offer of a reduced charge to upgrade my package from 350 to 500 Mbps. Had an email to say this would be active on Monday 15th. Sam knows test shows nothing has changed and package description on my virgin media remains at the old speed. Is there a backlog in activating these upgrades. Regards. Re: Problems accessing VM emails on Live Mail on Windows 8.1 Hi Graham, you are correct I have a computer in the shed (Windows 7 Pro) running Thunderbird which has been fine from the start. I'll have to do some experimentation with the one in the house which has Windows Live Mail 2012 and Thunderbird on it. I'll get back to you if I find anything. Regards. Re: Problems accessing VM emails on Live Mail on Windows 8.1 Windows 7 Pro using Windows Live Mail and also Thunderbird. I tried another computer with Windows 10 on it with Thunderbird but that has the same issues. Re: Email dead from this morning I was thinking something like that so I fired up my little used Windows 10 PC with Thunderbird installed and that threw up the same issues. As usual the problem is with the virgin servers but you'll never get anyone to admit that. The funny thing is I have another PC in the shed, running Windows 7 Pro with Thunderbird installed and it has been working fine. Re: Problems accessing VM emails on Live Mail on Windows 8.1 This has been going on for a couple of days on two or three threads. No action from the moderators for some reason. It's not only Live mail, it's outlook and Thunderbird. I wouldn't do anything like changing passwords or anything. They have obviously let the cleaner into the server cupboard! Hopefully this will be resolved like previously when we all had a similar problem. Re: Loss of Email - F010762348 I think if anything is learn't from this current disaster, it is the folly of not having a hard copy on your phone or PC. I lost count on the number of posters who have lost important documents, being financial or funeral arrangements which in my opinion, they are very likely not to be recovered. One of the reasons I've never used IMAP and have always used POP3 on more than one computer. What is the point if you end up being off line and want to look at an important email? Saving data to the "cloud" is another problem waiting to happen!
