Re: Re: landline not showing missed calls from private numbers I'll update this in case it helps anyone else. VM support confirmed that there was no block on anonymous calls on my line, the problem was at my end. My phone - a Panasonic cordless (model KX-TG85) - doesn't have a facility to reject anonymous calls but it does have an option to block specific numbers. If I do this, the number is added to the "Caller Barred" list. I've discovered that if you have any numbers at all (even just one) in the barred list, the phone will not register incoming calls with no caller ID. If you delete all the entries in the list (I had 23), anonymous calls will get through. I don't know why this should be. I'll speculate that it's an issue of how caller-id is passed over IP, I'm sure it wasn't previously a problem with the old wired line. Anyway, if "withheld" numbers aren't getting through it's worth checking, particularly if you have a Panasonic handset. (Of course the irony of ACR is that these days anonymous calls are usually the most important ones, like your solicitor or doctor. Cold-callers and scammers all spoof a fake number). Re: landline not showing missed calls from private numbers I've just discovered I have the same problem. An urgent call from the hospital could not get through to me, there was no indication of anything at my end. It turns out I can't receive calls from withheld numbers. According to a "solved"(sic) post in the forum archive, "Anonymous Caller Rejection" (ACR) is off by default when you migrate to a HUB phone. However, this isn't true in my case, and a quick search finds many other users with the same problem. Annoyingly, unlike other features, there is no code to dial to toggle this feature on and off and no way of knowing whether it is enabled (other than missing important calls). Apparently, you have to call 150 to enable/disable it. Landline not receiving calls - GU31 area My home phone can make calls but nobody can ring it. I am in the GU31 area and the phone is connected to a HUB5. I just tried calling 150 but I got cut off after 15 minutes.
