The downstairs living room box doesn't bring up the Apple TV logo or the barcode Re: Apple TV Odd Behaviour Me too. Apple TV adverts play, kind of like SkyTV "turn turn" adverts and culminating with the Ted Lasso "Believe" and then blank screen. No buttons work during or after the adverts. If I use the home button which is the only one that works it Exits to home screen. And then if I return back to Apple TV app goes to black screen. In frustration I hardly reboot and then try again Apple TV then just repeats the adverts and then to black screen. I also tried to search for programmes in Virgin programme guide "Severance" which I know is Apple exclusive. Selecting this went straight to black screen Apple TV is basically dead at this point. Been on hold to speak with support over 1 hour now (still on hold). Thanks Re: 2.4ghz P.s You'll also notice WiFi stability generally improved around the house with the devices that connect to 5g WiFi staying connected instead of hunting for 2.4. Again, unfortunately not available to us Hub5 users because of the bug Re: 2.4ghz Rename the 5 signal to name-5 That'll ensure continued connectivity for existing devices on the 2.4 signal but then your mobile and laptop etc you can reconnect in the new -5 network. This works well but be warned if you have the hub5. The newer router has a bug,or at least it did 9 months ago, and doesn't like having the WiFi hostnames renamed from factory setting as it seems to break DNS. Cheers Chris Re: Is it just me, or does Virgin Media turn into a pumpkin at midnight Yes possibly I find my router used to turn to crap at midnight. Literally disconnected anything connected over WiFi. I think some maintenance process. I called to complain. The agent said there were "no known issues", but coincidentally whatever was happening every night at midnight stopped. Re: No sky+ error code DUG1, id:c13ed3 Hello I Googled this error and seem to have same issue as everyone else here. @virgin Do we get discount for non availablity of service? Status page doesn't even work by the way Re: Audio Sync problem with new 360 box If only a short blip when changing refresh rate it is unavoidable and isn't necessarily a sign something wrong with the 360. When refresh rate changes your TV will need to sync into that updated refresh rate. Suspect it's why on the 360 they fix resolution to a single value.. Someone testing probably decided for themselves they didn't like that blip when switching between one resolution and refresh rate on menus and another on content so set box to output single resolution and rate always to avoid complaints. They probably didn't understand some people don't mind the blip to get both native resolution and native rates. Re: Audio Sync problem with new 360 box I agree. I don't understand how a signal can be in sync 369 hdmi into amp into TV. But out of sync, 360 hdmi into TV and then ARC into soundbar.* One thought is that included on the metadata in the HDMI signal there might be lipsync data. Has anyone tried turning off hdmi CEC to disable that? Try first on the 360 box, then TV, then soundbar. *Actually I can understand and it might not be a popular opinion.. It suggests an issue with the TV picture and TV passthrough. Mention of LG lots makes me think it's something going on with the LG. I have LG E6 and in that model I can say there is definite issues with the audio output via the ARC channel, as follows: Before I got my Shield to send Amazon and Netflix etc from there initial amp and then TV I was using ARC for getting audio from the Amazon and Netflix apps on TV. I had horrible lipsync issues, the TV audio processing introduced very audible lag too the audio that the small amount of advance/lead adjustment on the TV couldn't fix. And of course because the audio is the one delayed no delay setting on there amp would help. It was the reason for me getting the Amazon fire, and then the Shield in the first place. Turning off the lipsync adjustment in the TV and enabling TV picture processing to slow down the picture helped. Kind regards Chris Re: Audio Sync problem with new 360 box Hello. Just replying to my own message to confirm after a few tests I don't see any issues with unpredictable lipsync issues. I'm normally very sensitive to that as my wife would vouch when I charge any multitude of options whenever we watch content from the Shield. I have between 65ms and 70ms (I've not decided which) of delay dialed into the Amp and tried both 50i video and movies. I've also tried turning on the force Dolby option which I can see up samples from Dolby Digital to DD+ for that to work So for now for me at least I'd say 360>Amp>TV is not impacted. Going back to those people having issues. Are you getting the issue only via ARC from TV into sound bars? Thanks everyone Re: Audio Sync problem with new 360 box incidentally if the issue is only when going via ARC: Virgin > TV > (ARC) > Soundbar : and if the issue is TV advanced too much compared to sound, then one workaround that might work is to turn ON image processing on the TV (and then set the amount of processing down to as little as you need). e.g. turning on image scene select, sport, cinema, or any of those other interpolation modes typically insert 20ms+ or as much as half second of delay depending on your tele. Kind regards Chris
