I’ve recently had the Volt 2 package installed, I’m a long standing O2 pay monthly customer and I understand I’m eligible for a speed boost upto a 1gig connection, I’ve tried to sort this using the Virgin media app but keep getting errors, how do I actually sort it without having to make endless phone calls as I’ve already had a few of them and end up getting transferred and going round in circles, I also have yet to receive the O2 SIM card that is part of the Volt package, can anybody assist?

We're sorry to hear you've had issues with your Volt benefits being applied. If the package was based on a Volt Speed then you wouldn't get an additional boost as this would have already been costed at the lower price for the higher speed. You'd only get a Volt speed boost if you're not already on a Volt package.
Once you receive the SIM card, you'll need to register online via My O2 for any other Volt benefits. Once you've done this, all eligible Volt benefits will be applied by both O2 and VM within 14 days.
Keep us posted on how things go once your new SIM has been received and activated.

Thanks for your reply! I’ve moved from Sky to virgin so I’m a new customer, I’ve had the Volt 2 package installed over the last weekend, I’ve had an email this morning informing me that I’ll get the speed upgrades in the next 14 days so at least that problem is solved, I spent an hour on the phone to O2 last night to see where my SIM card was but with no joy, I’m sure it will turn up sooner or later 😂
The only other issue I’m having is painfully slow speeds upstairs, I’m getting a healthy 500 mbs downstairs but only 6 upstairs, it seems my house is very well made and blocks WiFi quite well, I’ve tried to find how to order a WiFi pod from virgin but once again am going around in ever decreasing circles, you can’t seem to order one through the VM connect app as it says you can
anyone have any suggestions?
