Change linked O2 phone number

I am switching my mobile from O2 but we have Volt. I also have 3 other lines on the account, should I do anything before I leave re switching the linked number? Or does it matter as it's the account that's linked as long as it has as at least one active connection? Thanks

Just to confirm you are leaving O2 or are you taking another number out with O2?
