Being charged for SIM i did not ask for.

Hello, please can someone help me!

I was sent an O2 SIM which I refused when setting up my WiFi in October 2023. I have since been charged for this SIM and ,upon noticing this, I cancelled my direct debit to O2. I have spent countless hours being passed between Virgin and O2 without resolve for this situation. I am now receiving letters from the debt collection agency regarding this bill. This is hugely alarming, particularly when I am being asked to pay for something I explicitly said I didn't want, has never been used and was sent to me without my permission.

I would like to speak to a member of your team to resolve this.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Hey @GreenGiant1 Thanks for reaching out to us and a warm welcome to the Virgin Media Community forums. 👋🏼

I'm sorry to hear about the issues with the SIM card you have had and have been charged for.
When you signed up, did you sign up for Volt and is your package a Volt service?

If so, a SIM card is required from O2 so that you get the Volt benefits.
You can remove this although you may have benefits removed and the price of the service may differ.

Unfortunately we can only assist with Virgin Media residential lines on here and not with the O2 services sorry.
Please reach out to O2 via: 0344 809 0202 and they will be able to assist you further.

Let us know how it goes with the team.

Kind regards,
Ilyas.
