V6 and HDMI switcher has intermittent video

I have just bought a StarTech HDMI switch so I can connect PS4, Switch and V6 box to the TV easily without having to scramble around and unplug cables all the time. The TV is wall mounted so there is only one HDMI cable available.

Before the switcher was installed the video was fine but with it in place the video from the V6 box is intermittent with a black cut out every few seconds. The video from the consoles is fine. The switcher is HDCP 2.2 HDMI so should be compatible with the V6 box from what I have read so far.

Does anyone have any tips for getting it to work?

Ensure you are using high-quality HDMI cables.

Power cycle devices: turn off your V6, HDMI switch and TV for at least 30 seconds, unplug them from power for a few minutes, plug them back in and power them on in the following order: TV first, then HDMI switch, and finally the V6.

Experiment with different TV HDMI inputs.

If all fails get another switch.
