V6 Boxes and Sky Sports+ Frustrations

Hi,

This is more a frustrated shout out to Virgin themselves regarding the new Sky+ channel if you have a V6 box. 

I don't get it that you you can't receive the red button functions on this channel on a V6 box however I dont want to lose all my recordings on one of my old V6 boxes just to have this function.

I have two boxes one which I record on and one just in another room for viewing but cant change one box, I have to change both if I have 360. 

My son has 360 and has a multitude of issues with it, slowness sync etc etc...

You cant cast Sky Sports+ App from  Mac to  tv.

Surely an easy solution would be to have the Sky Sports App available on the V6 box???

Sort it Virgin, speak to Sky if you need,  bite the bullet

You need either a TV360 box or Stream box to view the additional red button feeds via your VM set top box, or you can watch the additional feeds if you sign into the Sky Sports app on an android or ios tablet or mobile

You are posting in the V6 forum so I assume that you have a V6 box.  The V6 still has the old red button functions and may be updated at a later date to receive the full red button functionality of the TV360 and Stream boxes.

If you watch on our TiVo® box or V6 box (powered by TiVo), you can get all the action on Sky Sports+ on CH 508 in HD (or SD on CH 518) or the Sky Sports app. You can’t get the Sky Sports+ Red Button, though, so if that sounds like something you want then it’s super-simple to upgrade your Virgin TV box. Just contact us on 0345 454 1111 (or call 150 from a Virgin Media phone).

You need to have the 360 to get all the Northern and Southern section games.

I can't get anything at all on the red button! What's the point in paying for a service we don't receive?! 🤔

Sorry to hear you're having issues with the red button at this time. Can you please provide details of what channel you're on and what you were looking to access?

Where in the process did it fail for what you wanted to access?

Just turned onto watch Bromley v AFC Wimbledon seems all the other games in Championship and League 1 are available via red button but not Bromley AGAIN!

was t available Tuesday as advertised and not again today

so frustrating let us have ALL the games.

To add insult to injury the Sky App on Mac doesn’t show the red button games.

absolutely bloody useless

Virgin you need to sort this out  

just spoken to a friend who has the 360 and the Bromley game is buffering big time as it is in my phone yet my internet/wi fi is fine

How about a forecast of when the Sky+ app will be on the V6? A week, a month,  a year?    Some vague idea would be nice. 

It would help people decide whether its worth downgrading to the 360.

We do not have an exact estimate at this time to provide @Mr_K 

You can access the channel on your V6 box but would not be able to use the red button currently. When we do have an update one will be provided.
