I have 3 V6 and 1 TiVo boxes.
With the launch of Sky Sports+ on 1st August how can I watch the many football matches that are being streamed on Sky Sports+ from Friday 9th August? i.e., not those being broadcast on Main Event etc.
I can find no info from Virgin and my chat to them on WhatsApp (over 17 hours ago) remains unanswered.
Anyone know thanks?

Hi chrisn5942
The Sky Sports+ channel is a direct replacement for Sky Sports Arena which is on channel 508. This channel will stream additional Championship and Football League games via the red button, but those additonal red button games on Sky Sports + will only be available on Virgin TV 360 and Stream boxes at launch.
There is an existing red button functionality on the older tivo and V6 boxes with reduced functionality, that will continue to be available but they wont have the full amount of red button streams available to customers with Sky Sports+. The Sky Sports + multiscreen is being developed for V6, but there's no timescale for it, and it will never be available on the older tivo box.
You will though be able to watch the additional red button games on a tablet or mobile phone using the Sky Sports app.

If you're wanting access to the additional HD streams immediately, you would need to convert to TV360.
It's a fundamentally different TV platform that is substantially different and is not TiVo. There are many pros & cons of both platforms, but the availability of Sky Sports HD multiscreen will remain a TV360-thing until it launches on V6. There is unlikely to be any advance notice of this

They have bern truly dreadful with theot info, but they have loosely, now released some info, its not straight forward but youll work it out if you read it a few times.. BASICALLY...
360 is so bad they need to force people to install it with skysports+ . tivo & v6 powered by tivo are far superior and havr managed red button for years but now all of a sudden you MUST download 360software if you wanna watch 99% of games.

Changes in technology are inevitable. The V6/TiVO red button streams were provided to VM via a highly (some would say over) compressed satellite feed. This produced streams that were not much better than VCR quality & there were many complaints they were unwatchable on bigger TVs. Sky is replacing that system with a full HD red button service provided via the internet, which requires a completely new background app. V360/Stream Horizon platform apps will not work on TiVO platform boxes, so a separate app will have to be developed for each platform. Are Sky going to pay for the development of two different apps for the same provider? Guess we will find out soon.

Hi @Petestoke, thanks for your post.
We would have to advise that the broadcasters discretion - in terms of what we can show on our 508/518 channels would need to be taken into consideration.
Hopefully we can have a healthy selection of games via the red button on these channels through the season for V6 users.
Thanks
