Why do I have to log back into my Netflix account everytime?

Tuning in

Since changing over to 360 from TiVo, I seem to have to enter all my details again to watch Netflix. It’s tedious! My Netflix isn’t through Virgin Media. I had no issues with this when I had TiVo! It seems to do it for a lot of the apps too. Why, Virgin Media, why????

It could be a sign of a faulty box.

Do you also need to sign in again to iPlayer and any other apps, do you actually sign out of Netflix or just press the TV button to exit.

Hey Mitchm77, thank you for reaching out and I am sorry to hear this.

If this is the first time using Netflix on the box you would need to do this, or it literally every single time?

How long have you had the box for?

New around here?

Hi we have the same issue. It happens every single time. We have had our box for roughly 2-3 months.

Strange how all these boxes become faulty when they're downgraded to 360, but were fine as a V6s.

If its not faulty then don't downgrade it to 360.

If it's an old Arris V6 that's been refurbished and sent out again that could be the problem.

Go to Settings, Info, About and you can see who made your box. I have a Humax made box and not had any problems in 4 years, unfortunately I believe Virgin have gone back to using Arris so it could be an old one which might not lot like 360 (the older boxes don't like 360 software).

Maybe VM should have tested their hardware before rolling out these 'upgrades'. It's a radical concept I know....

I have two of the original Arris boxes converted to 360, and have only had one single problem and it only occured on one of the boxes.

From some of the post's I have seen Virgin have gone back to using Arris, you would assume they are building the boxes to the same spec that the Humax were made.

It would seem that some of the old Arris boxes don't like the software / firmware upgrade and that causes the problem's, probably down to version's of their components.

I also don't think the refurbished boxes ger a proper testing of the hard drive seeing how many "new" boxes fail with hard drive errors. (I have worked in the IT industry and there is good software to clean the hard drive and check for faults.

Hi Dave,

Been a few problems reported with old Arris boxes probably all down to the revisions of the components used at the time,, even a fellow VIP nodrogd has said that some older boxes don't like the update to 360.
