Hi,
Daughter soon to have VM installed (Had VM before she moved in so socket box there)
I am about to mount a large TV on the wall in prep.
The existing VM socket it on one side of the room, I think where the old TV was, but not ideal.
The TV is to be on the other size of the room,
1) I am assuming the TV 360 MUST be connected to the TV via cable, HDMI or scart. Can the router connect via WiFi to the TV 360?
I think I read NOT if you want live tv, you must have a cable. This is not idea as new wooden floor & not way to cleanly route a cable indoor, not great outdoors either.
The only thing is the VM socket is on the far side of the house, I would have thought it would have been naturally where the TV is as this is by the front door & the BT sockets.
I hope perhaps it use to be by the front door & the engineer will be able to re-install here.
I guess 1) is what I am mainly asking
Thanks I/A

The TV360 box requires 3 connections.
1: The incoming co-ax carries the live TV channels
2: An internet connection via your home-hub, for OnDemand, streaming & various updates. Ethernet is best, reliable wireless can suffice.
3: HDMI to your TV. The TV360 only has an HDMI output, but you may be able to get an HDMI > wireless setup if the TV is suitably equipped.
For a long-term installation, a wired connection is always preferable. If you don't have the co-ax connections where you need them, a manned installation is often best.

Does the cable TV box need to be connected to the cable? Yes.
It's like asking if you buy a satellite receiver will it work without connecting it to a dish.
Cable TV boxes are broadcast receivers, so take the live channels directly from the cable. They are nothing to do with the internet service, which has it's own radio system inside the cable.
