Upgrade Tivo & V6 to V360

I want to upgrade my 2 boxes (a Tivo & V6) to 2 360's - is this possible? How much? Installation or self-installation? One can be a mini-V360. (I wrote on this forum earlier but it seems to have disappeared!)

Hello all

I have a TiVo & V6 in my flat and want to upgrade both to a 360 (after more apps, mainly the Sky Sports+ one). Does anyone know about the cost , installation, self-installation etc. I believe that all I need to upgrade the V6 box is a new remote control but how is the TiVo upgraded (I hear there is a mini 360 box and that would work).

All help and comments would be gratefully taken

Hey John, this is possible via self-installaton.  There should be no cost to do this and the order can be raised via WebChat or by calling in to speak to an agent.

If you were to upgrade your TiVo to a V6 first, you would have two fully functional hard drives.

You could then convert both V6 into TV360-masters and retain the HDD. If one of them subsequently developed a fault, it would be replaced with a mini & lose the HDD.

But it's an option otherwise.

Thanks japitts; we haven't used the hard drives for recording in a few years, I think I'll go with BlueLou's suggestion but many thanks for the suggestion
