Hi Sue

You've posted in the chatter forum which isn't normally frequented by VM Forum Staff so I've moved your post to the TV360 forum which is where I think it belongs.

Your thread title mentions a tivo box, and your actual post indicates that you have a steady blue light on your mini tivo box.   There isn't a tivo mini box.  The only mini box that VM have is the TV360 mini box. Looking at your previous forum posts you cancelled your VM TV and then had  the TV service reinstated in March 2023 with two TV boxes. By that date VM had stopped supplying the older tivo and V6 boxes so you would have received a master 360 box and a mini 360 box.  (pictured below) The difference between the main 360 box and mini 360 box is that the mini box doesn't have a hard drive.

VM have started pushing out  a new software update to the 360 boxes, the latest of which is version 5.12, and it looks like your 360mini box has received that update as theres a small number of forum posts from customers that have received that update and the standby light on their set top box is now showing a blue light.

This update shouldn't affect the operation of the mini box although it's possible that your box has failed to update correctly. (nobody else that has the blue standby light have indicated that their box is no longer working)

The steady blue light would seem to indicate that the box is still in standby.

To try and help get your box working again please can you advise how you rebooted the box?

Did you use the red button on the top right hand of the VM TV remote?

Or did you press the button below the blue light on the front of the set top box?

Or did you reboot by turning the box off using the rocker on the back of the box?

On our wavelength

I have now find found 3 threads about this problem which all started earlier this week.

I have the same problem and on my 360 tv box, which happened when I turned it off as normal with the remote last night.

Turning it back  on turns it back to white as normal and turning it off again on the remote now always turns it to blue.

Ran the tv box tests on the virgin website and those said everything was ok.

There are an ever increasing number of community posts about the same problem.

So is it a bug or a new feature?

Overnight my changed from blue back to red.

Having read the other similar threads on the community it looks like for some users a VM update reverted the standby light to blue on the tv 360 box which is the colour it was up to 2021.

Annoying as the assumption is that a different LED light colour has a different meaning, but in this case it seems it is simply an alternative colour for VM to use for standby which they originally changed as they thought red was more visible than blue.

So nothing to be concerned about.
