Can't pair remote volume to Sony TV (was paired to LG).

Tried TV and 0. Tried reset - TV and rewind which doesn't seem to do anything. Option does not exist in Audio and  Video settings. Have rebooted box. Note  this was originally a V6  that was converted to 360 by download

Thanks but had tried all but one suggestion and also changed Batteries.

Pressing standby button for 10 secs just puts box into stand-by,?

Have I got right remote this is one delivered with box when it was a V6.

The V6 remote is peanut shaped and is used at the start of the regrade process, you then switch over to the smaller, oblong shaped 360 remote which has a voice button, when indicated to do so by the onscreen prompt.

Have you tried removing the batteries and leave them out for a few minutes, this should reset the remote, or even try a new set of batteries.

Hi Pixelking

Pressing Live TV and rewind for 10 seconds used to reset the remote control, however this was removed around software version 5.10 which is why that button sequence no longer works

I can pair a different model TV on my 360 by holding down the Live TV and 0 button together for around 10 seconds. The Standby button then starts to flash and an onscreen message appears Pairing successful - this remote will only work with this Virgin 360 box.

You can also try the following:-

Put the box into 'Pairing Mode' by pressing the Standby/On button on the front of the box for 10 seconds.  Then using the remote control, press and hold the 'TV' button and the '0' button together for 10 seconds. And fingers crossed hopefully a  message should appear on the screen confirming that pairing was successful.

Was not sent a new remote when V6 was converted to 360 by download but just continued to work OK with LG

Have tried phoning 150 but caĺl is automatically ended after useless download of faq remote controls link

When phoning choose the option to report a fault, then ignore all the options offered and you should then be placed into a queue to speak to someone.

Hi @1701-e

I realise that the unpairing function when pressing those two buttons together has been removed, I indicated that in my post on 4th Sept at 22:09. However using  that button sequence now should enable the device(s) to be paired.

On my 360 the Standby button starts to flash and an onscreen message appears to say the remote has paired. (in my case three messages as shown below)

My problem is that screen says paired successfully but cannot change volume or turn off to. Strangely using the old v6 remote does change the volume and turns off tv but nothing else.
