Hugely frustrating. Had a new Hub and two new remotes to upgrade boxes to TV 360. Thought everything went well. Broadband up and good speed. All easy but both boxes are stuck on the above message for 4 hours! Rang customer service and they were not very helpful and spent nearly two hours on calls. Can’t access any channels but all catch up services work and have the new User Guide etc
Ive nearly had it with VM. Was really excited and enthused that was being upgraded and has turned in to pain in the neck. Looking at Sky packages and assume there is a cooling off period.
Last resort is posting on here. CS said leave boxes on and turn TV’s off to allow update. That was a while ago now and no change. CS even saying they can see everything connected. At my wits end.

The 360 box is not an upgrade, it's a change of OS due to the takeover by Liberty Global. It is missing a lot of features compared to the V6\TiVo.
Some of the missing features are as follows; Wishlists (where you can set the box to record programs on certain subjects or featuring certain people), undelete, series link+, series link manager, suggestions, setting of series links for programs not in the current TV guide, ethernet control, keyboard support via USB, switching between tuners with constant buffering, skip-back on fast-forward, quickplay, default recording options, cancelling individual recordings from a series link, multi-channel series links, radio channels allowing recording of radio, separation of recordings between boxes, watching recordings when internet is not available and probably a few others I've forgotten.
Also, extra boxes do not have their own hard disks or tuners (unless converted from a V6 box), so you lose storage space and recording ability and are also reliant on the main box being on to watch and set recordings and also on having a decent wi-fi signal (or ethernet cable) between the two boxes when watching recordings.

Error 100:70 is displayed during initial setup when the box has not yet received its entitlement for Live TV. This should resolve within a few minutes. If not call 0800 953 9500 to see if they can activate the boxes. You will need the boxes serial numbers, and your account number and area code. Both boxes still need to be attached to the white VM coxial cabling.
Have you tried swapping the boxes around, and then leave them both switched on? This might force the full update to complete.
Since you have the TV guide and catch up services working can you ccess the 360 settings? If do go to System > Standby power consumption and set it to Fast Start. (This will ensure that the box is reachable if VM send any codes to the box) You could also try a factory reset from the bottom option in the same system menu screen.
You could also try the following :- Turn off the 360 at switch; then on the 360 box hold down both the power button and the + button at the same time. Then turn on the 360 again whilst keeping hold of those buttons for a further 30 seconds. The box should reboot, the power button will turn blue, and it should reset and boot up normally as a 360 with all subscribed TV channels available
If the 100:70 error still continues to be displayed then the faults team should escalate this to second level support to see if they can enable the boxes to update. If that fails they generally have to send out a tech with new boxes.
