Planned Recordings Question

Can someone please explain to me why some of my planned recordings have a red circle under them, but others don't? I initially thought the red circle indicated a series recording, but all those shown in the picture below are series recordings. So why does only Guy Garvey have a red circle?

From a Google search:

Answering this blindly (as no photo), but the 28 day EPG might be to blame as unless it's scheduled in the next 2 weeks it won't be actively looking to record the series.

This also happens if the series you're trying to record is across two separate channels, the series link will only work on the channel you have selected.

much preferred it when you could record across the channels - really taking a step backwards and using more time to sort recordings rather than making it easier

Not sure why the photo doesn't show. But anyway the series I was talking about that don't show the circle are weekly programmes. Graham Norton Show and Alan Carr's Picture Slam. Both on BBC1. And they both show two planned recordings. This saturday and on 12th.

Also just noticed that there are one off recordings that show the red circle, so I guess its not about series links.

Doesn't seem to be any sense to it, just completely random.

Simple answer.  The red circle shows that there is a single episode set to record in the next two weeks. Without the red circle, multiple episodes are set to record.

Ah right! Thanks for the clarification.

Ah, I thought that the Red Circle meant that the recording was already available to view somewhere, and the other one meant it was set to record.
