I've recently got an upgraded Volt Broadband and 360 TV box. This is my first experience with Virgin TV, although I've been a broadband customer for a while. This included the MIXIT TV package . Having initially looked at the channel guide list, I gathered I could add 'Personal Picks' - as per the current Virgin Channel list Sep 2024.

I tried to find out about adding personal picks via customer service 29/8/24 - who couldn't help, Webchat - which seemed to go round in circles until it took me to WhatsApp and I submitted my query . I'm still waiting for a response. Tried interacting with the 360 box to get some info from the channel - in particular Sky channels. Where it said 'Watch this channel today - Find out how to upgrade' which takes you to a Sorry Unavailable message and then to Available Subscriptions which didn't feature what I was after. Had a further look on the Virgin Media Community recently and a responder advised the 'Personal Picks' was no longer available. No explanation given and at odds with the most recent channel list - as above.
So, can I please find out if I can add some channels or do I need to upgrade my TV package and what are the costs involved. Thanks!

Hi again @Benscopes
If you've only recently got an upgraded Volt Broadband and a Mixit TV package on the 360 box then you might need to wait a few days for your account to update with the new contract. You might be able change your package by clicking on the Upgrade section within https://www.virginmedia.com/myvmo2 however it's more than likely that you'll see an 'Oops error' since you've just regraded.
It's best to call 150 from a Virgin landline or 0345 454 1111 and either speak to regrades or cancellations and negotiate a new deal. (You have a 14 day window to change your mind when regrading so if within that window I suggest retentions)

Hi Benscopes
The up to date channel guide for customers with 360 boxes can be found on the following page
https://www.virginmedia.com/virgin-tv-edit/tv/virgin-tv-360-channel-guide
The Personal Picks are now obsolete, but still shown in the channel guides as a reference for those on the older legacy packages so they can compare their channels with the current offerings.
Customers on legacy packages that regrade will be automatically moved to the nearest equivalent tier.
There is another TV offering from VM, the Stream box**, which is IP based and has no recording facilities, however it can't be taken in conjunction with any other TV offering. The Stream box offers a set of free to view channels, approximately equal to 'Freeview' channels, and a paid subscription tier, 'Essential Entertainment', along with the facility to add extra subscriptions such as Sky Sports, TNT Sports, Sky Cinema, Netflix, Disney+ etc
**You can read about the Stream box here https://www.virginmedia.com/tv/stream
The channel guide for Stream boxes can be found at
https://www.virginmedia.com/virgin-tv-edit/tips-and-tricks/stream-from-virgin-media-channel-guide
**The Stream boxes are one per household unless based in a full fibre area (XGS-PON network) and subscribing to Mega TV

Hello newapollo
Thanks for your post and confirming that 'Personal Picks' is no longer available.
I still need to know my options as to upgrading to perhaps MAXIT - eg: procedure & costs. There's a few Sky and Entertainment channels that I'd like to access.
