Im having issues constantly on a daily basis with catchup on their 360 box. Constantly getting random errors, playback not possible, constantly logging out of apps such as itv x, bbc iplayer, channel 4 etc and l'm just at a loss on what to do. Tried everything I can think of with factory reset multiple times, rebooting the box and hub but nothing seems to fix it. Also on 2 occasions in the past 3 months the tv box has factory reset all on its own deleting all of their recordings and it's become a real hassle.

If the 360 is deleting your recordings it's a sign that the box is faulty, especially if it's done it more than once. Also your other problems are a sign of a probable faulty box.
You can either call Virgin on 150 from a Virgin phone, mobile or landline, or 0345 454 1111 from any other phone to report a fault, or wait here for one of the forum team to pick this up which might be 2 to 3 day's.
When phoning choose the option to report a fault, then ignore all the options offered and you should then be placed into a queue to speak to someone.
