Bed (name of one box) is offline or not connected

I am trying to watch a recording from one box (bed) on my other box (main) and receive the above message, I watched something earlier in the day with no issue, I can watch tv on bed, online services like Netflix and watch recordings from main box on the bed box so the box is on and connected (i have also reset the network connection and that's showing no issues), but can't watch recordings from the bed box on my main box

Make sure that both boxes are turned on and not set up in Eco Start . They need to be on either  Fast Start or Active Start (Settings > System > Power Consumption)

Both boxes are turned on all the time, just the bed box isn't connecting, but is still able to watch recordings from the other box and on demand services so is connected, can't do remote recording or watch recordings from that box onto my other box 

Have you also tried rebooting both boxes by switching the power off and on again with the switch on the back of the box after putting them into standby.

 

Yes have rebooted both boxes and hub too

Sorry to hear you're having issues with accessing your recordings on your additional set-top box. 

Have you tried the steps kindly offered by @newapollo by changing the way they switch on? Let us know if changing these settings on both set-top boxes helps at all.

Both boxes in fast start mode, have tried also factory reset with keeping recordings and as yet the same issue remains, can access on demand services and watch recorded programs from the main box, I have run the diagnostics from the settings menu and all seems fine, just can't accesses recordings from the second (bed) box on my main box

Would it be okay to ask if both boxes are connected the same?

Is the main box connected by ethernet or WIFI? 

I'm going to hazard a guess that the additional box "Bed" is connected over WIFI.

Might be worth trying both on WIFI and then seeing if you can view recordings.
