360 box stuck on welcome screen

Hi, 

my 360 box has been acting up for a while now, I get the please wait screen everytime I turn the tv on. Now I’m stuck on the welcome screen, the box will power itself off after a while then come back on with the welcome screen again. 
I’ve tried all of the power off, unplugged from socket, using different HDMI cables, reboot WiFi just incase. No luck. Please see photo attached, happened after leaving the box to do it thing for 30 minutes.

That's not the Welcome screen - the Welcome screen says welcome in about 10 different languages

Your screenshot shows an animated down arrow which usually appears when the box is updating.  It might have failed due to not having an internet connection so if connected by wifi try an ethernet connection instead if possible.

If it's not due to the internet connection then try turning off the 360 using the switch on the back of the box;  then on the 360 box  hold down both the power button and the - (minus) button which is on the front of the box at the same time. Then turn on the 360 again whilst keeping hold of those buttons for a further 30 seconds. The box should reboot and it should reset and boot up normally as a 360. 

If you try that and it's showing that same screen again and the above hasn't worked  then use the same method but substitute the minus button for the + (plus) button and try again.

There is also the 'three fingered salute'

Turn off the 360 at the switch on the back of the box;  then on the 360 box  hold down the power button and the + (plus) and - (minus) buttons at the same time.  Then keeping all three buttons pressed down you should switch the box back on using the switch on the back of the box. 

You may see  When it restarts the first time you might see an error saying it can't acquire the channels. Press OK and let it restart again.
