V6 channel 124 -Gold HD signal dropping?

BrianY

Currently- Last 7-10days channel unwatchable due to pixilation and stuttering sound.

Done the usual, reboot V6 and has no effect on the viewing fault.

Pixelated channels are more often than not caused by signal issues at your property.

Are you also having issues with these channels?

NHK World HD

BBC Scotland HD

U&Yesterday HD

U&Drama

All these use the same broadcast mux as Gold, & if likewise affected would definitely indicate signal adjustments or a wiring issue needs to be looked at via a technician visit.

Just tried selecting the above listed channels (not on my favourites list) , all the above have problems as has  124.

In which case, the standard advice as per any pixellation query, applies.

If you've rebooted your box once, then there's likely a fault somewhere, so this will need VM to intervene. You're likely to need either an engineer visit or a replacement box, depending on what VM's remote diagnostics turn up.

First check the automated faults line for any existing issues in your area that could be the cause: 0800 5610061. If nothing's reported, assume VM don't know about your fault and ideally you'll need to call them.

150 from a VM phone, 0345 4541111 from any other phone - choose the options for "I have a fault with my TV service". Alternatively you can wait on here for staff to respond, which may take a day or so.

Being a deaf customer, use subtitles for watching TV, I will wait and see to what develops.

Thanks for reaching out to us @BrianY, and we're terribly sorry to read of the picture issues you've been experiencing on some of the channels you subscribe to.

I've attempted to look into this on our side, and it would appear that the set top box is currently unreachable.

Can you please confirm if the set top box is switched on?

Are you still experiencing the same issues on the channels advised in your original post?

Thanks,

David_Bn

The V6 is on 24/7, never switched off unless having a problem!

Thankfully the channel 124 is now working normally on both sound/vision.
