U Drama pixellating

AS
On our wavelength

Good morning

U Drama has started pixellating with choppy sound. No other channel affected. Such a pity as we love the full re-run of "Last of the summer wine", but it's unwatchable. Any ideas well-informed folk?

Do you have a similar issue on BBC Scotland HD, U-Yesterday, or Gold-HD?

Pixellated pictures on live TV are often the sign of a signal fault. If you've rebooted your box once, then there's likely a fault somewhere, so this will need VM to intervene. You're likely to need either an engineer visit or a replacement box, depending on what VM's remote diagnostics turn up.

First check the automated faults line for any existing issues in your area that could be the cause: 0800 5610061. If nothing's reported, assume VM don't know about your fault and ideally you'll need to call them.

150 from a VM phone, 0345 4541111 from any other phone - choose the options for "I have a fault with my TV service". Alternatively you can wait on here for staff to respond, which may take a day or so.

Thank you.

Struck by brainwave, I tuned in to U-Drama (what a silly name) via TV Anywhere on my iPad and lo! Truly, Clegg and Entwhistle are clear and uninterrupted. Ergo, the fault is particular to my box/TV combo. I shall lokk at service status but I think it is engineer time...

Hi there @AS

Thank you so much for your post and welcome back to the community forums.

I am so sorry to hear that you have experienced this issue with your service and thank you again for posting. Can I just confirm have you ensured that all the cables are securely connected and is the V6 box in a well ventilated area?

Can I also just double check is it only this one channel effected?

Checking service statusthere was a TV fault reported. I ticked the 'send me a text when it's fixed' box, which never happened but the fault stopped being reported and the channel was back. So all was well, if not efficient!

Thanks for the update AS and we're glad that the issues have now been resolved. We'll also pass on your feedback about the fault notifications.

Kind Regards,
