Was it 'Open all hours'?  Lots of stuttering on that.

Hi all, thanks for the replies on this thread 😊

I've checked to see if there were any wider issues reported with this over the weekend and haven't seen anything. How is everything looking now. If things continue please reply back so this can be flagged to the support teams.

      Regards

      Nathan

I'm based in the Teesside area.

Tested watching To the Manor Born on U&Drama and that was stuttering,  Have also found the same stuttering issue on TLC and Great Action channels on my 360 boxes.  The same 3 channels that I tested  are also affected using the VM Stream box.

No problems apparent on  TLC+1 or U&Drama +1.

    No errors showing using https://www.virginmedia.com/help/service-status

Checked the same channels on terrrestrial TV (Freeview) and no problems.

  • I’ve noticed same issues on TLC as well. Didn’t check other channels. North Yorkshire

This points to a central headend encoding/multiplex fault at Langley and not the feed itself. It only affects one encoder or mux and not the whole platform, so U&Drama, TLC, Great! Action and possibly other channels on the same mux have this problem but not the +1 channels because they are on a separate mux. It most certainly is not a box problem. Langley can't fix this until notified about it as their system still says “channel OK”, and perhaps the best way forward is for a VIP or moderator to escalate this.

  • I’ve got 2 V6 boxes and in NG19 area and I’ve been getting stuttering and pixelation on Dave channel (127) yesterday and today. It’s not quite as bad today but is still happening. This is happening on both my boxes.

Other channels I’ve watched today seem fine - mainly sports channels.

I know I’m V6 and not 360 but was wondering is it’s the same feed and same issues affecting both systems?

    On our wavelength

SS17 area and been having issues all weekend, noticed it on TLC and U& channels. Only one V6 box to two TVs and both were affected and after several cable changes I concluded it wasn't our end. Also checked status which said TV in area was fine and went through some troubleshooting steps such as rebooting the router to not avail. Had BBC/ITV on this evening and noticed its been fine but switched back to TLC and still seeing it breakup/stutter. Glad its not just us though.
