My TiVo box stopped working last week and after phoning customer services it was arranged that a new box would be sent as the one I had was installed in 2018…..the new one arrived, minus the remote, we installed the box but could not finish the set up as none of the buttons on the old remote are doing anything…phoned again and was told to install the remote app on my iPad which I did but it cannot find my box so not getting anyplace with that either, I presume because the set up is not finished,the person at customer services said my old remote should work with the new box but nothing happens with any of the buttons…anybody got any advice please?

Welcome to the community and thanks for taking the time to post here on the forums. I’m sorry to hear of the issues that you’re having with your TV box and remotes since your new box was sent out and installed. Has your new remote arrived yet? If not and you're still trying to use the remote control app, is your box and your iPad connected correctly to your home network? As they would both need to be connected to the same network for the functions to work correctly via the app.

Thank you for your reply …remote arrived yesterday a week after the box! app does not work as set up on the box was not completed as I had no remote! Tonight things seem to be working ….a bit annoyed really as no TV service for over a week!
