Any channel additions performed by phone are normally immediate, but on a TiVo - re-synch your EPG by following Home > Help & Settings > Help > TV Care > I'm missing some channels.
That said, Sky Sports is SD by default and only HD if you pay the £7 supplement. The HD channels are in EPG positions 501-510, SD are 511-519.
So make sure you're checking the appropriate channel positions.
