upgrade m500 to gig1

Hi all, have hub 4 set to modem mode with asus ax11000 pro on m500 and have been offered +£4 for gig1.

First does it come with hub 5 and is modem mode identical to hub 4.

I think m500 is good enough, planning to put asus ax11000 on merlin, the reason I'm thinking of the change is we got a ring gen 2 camera and it just keep losing Internet conection, I've tried it everywhere, even onto of router haha and across the room.

With the ax11000 I wire what I can, use 5ghz channels for most devices and have a few taps light bulbs and switches.

I absolutely love latest tech, so would be happy to upgrade, but just looking for advice feedback, live in fairly small flat with lots of thin portion walls, on 3rd floor, building very old.

Thank in advance

Depending on how much bandwidth the  camera needs plus if your area has users that upload much meaning faster speed may not help

if your router can show you the bandwidth being sent that would help let you know

or a test is to view your camera and on another system by wire ping 194.168.4.100 to see if your ping spikes

I don't see how Gig1 will enable your camera to get a better connection to your Asus.

And you won't get a hub 5 anyway.

You may make things worse upgrading if you have an existing fault with your connection.

Whisper it softly but I even considered, momentarily and in an idle moment, taking up one of those impulse buy speed boost offers but my connection has become so screwy over the past few months I'm leaving things as they are thank you very much.
