Some behaviour in Edge is similar to the old "browser wars" of the 1990's. I fired up Chrome and got a pop-balloon (similar to the old XP pop ups) on the Edge App. I use both Edge and Chrome; this post is done using Edge, and I have Chrome fired up for YouTube videos as they seem to run slower in Edge (buffering more).
Anyway, the reason I'm making this post is that there have been more updates to both Edge and Chrome (hits version 111).
Nearly up to date! Relaunch Chrome to finish updating.
Version 111.0.5563.64 (Official Build) (64-bit) [auto update]
Chrome is up to date
Version 111.0.5563.65 (Official Build) (64-bit) [manual update]
Microsoft Edge
Version 110.0.1587.69 (Official build) (64-bit) [manual update]
Looks like they're not going to play nice together and Edge still runs lots of adverts (some to scam sites). This nonsense isn't pro consumer and intervention by the US govt may be required. Not good.
