Extension Cable for Relocation

Hi all,

This seems to have been asked previously so as far as I can see, when i want to move my Hub and router to the other side of the room, Virgin can supply a 3m extension at no cost, or have a longer one with an engineer visit.

Does anyone know if the extension lead of 3m is in addition to the cable already there, or replaces the current cable (it's important as that could be the difference for me for an engineer visit or just getting a cable sent).  Secondly, other posts indicate just call in to faults to book a visit, but this takes me to a dead end.  If I need an engineer visit is there an easier way to do this?

Cheers!

It will be a male to male plug extension cable, so will replace the one you already have. Extensions have an effect on the incoming signal level at your property. Extensions are fine if the level remains in spec. If it doesn’t technicians must open the street cabinet to resolve the issue. Hence a technician visit is required for longer extensions.

Thanks so it sounds like i need an engineer visit - am going around in circles trying to find the right option to get this.  Anyone got a quick way to book one?
