Problem might not be Docsis the fix was unplug Ethernet and plug it back in no reboot needed

So was downloading a game over hight about 60GB and when to sleep then checked my PC like what the bloody hell! Ping was to hell ARP was delayed so thinking it was my network I plug a PC into the hub modem mode port and all was fine so then plugged my network back in and that was fine.

The game would be downloading under a BWM to just not hit the hubs rate limit fully to not buffer and normally this would be fine I have never seen a problem like this happen to me before.

So there are about four things the problem might be

1 The hub is old and is going faulty which I would say yes only no more problem but time will tell

2 My network when I unplugged and relinked up which is unlikely but had to be said.

3 the Ethernet link on the hub messed up and a relink fixed it.

4 the rate limiting on the hub messed up and a relink of the Ethernet reset it and fixed it

I would suggest the Hub? After all VM do recommend regular weekly reboots ….
