Today tried to order another Flex box, I’m in an XPON area, firstly on WhatsApp, got put through to 4 different people, first person said I could only order an extra 360 box, did I want to go ahead, the total cost will be £150, that was from £45 a rise of £105, I asked where’s that cost come from, he replied, he couldn’t offer a better price, I said I’m in an XPON area I can’t have a 360 box, the chat went quiet, he then put me through to retentions, still couldn’t get anywhere,
told me to ring, 0800 064 3840, was on the phone for 15 mins, likewise couldn’t order one, they then put me through to retentions, still got nowhere,
I then had a thought so rang 0345 454 1111 they initially couldn’t do anything, then I said can you put me through to the department that cover Hub 5x, that’s where I got things moving, after about another 45mins, I got one ordered, cost £66 a month which isn’t bad but he was having issues with their system, couldn’t apply my deal, which is 500mbps plus Mega tv, I was downgrading from 1 gig, to cut the cost down, he said the best idea is for me to connect the box when it arrives it will send a signal to them & this will activate my deal, we’ll see, he said he will ring me on Friday to see how I’m doing, we’ll see.
why is it so hard to order one, a lot of the VM CS staff have never heard of having extra stream boxes, they just kept reiterating “you can only have 360 extra boxes not stream”

The severe lack of training and understanding from the call centre staff is blindingly obvious now. When it was just stream support for that was always difficult.
They have so many products and different options only available on certain parts.
The most annoying thing is the 360 box is not available at all in your area.

Yes I think the V6 & 360 will disappear, Virgin has only been in our area for a year so never had the use of either recorders I’ve mentioned, got to say Stream/Flex works well for us, great that we can FFW through adverts

Not really my bill has skyrocketed from £45 a month with 1 stream box to £66 for 2 Flex boxes, I was told it would be £56, can’t understand why, appreciate I have TNT sports, but on my contract it says £135, also had 2 contracts 1 for 6 months & the other for 18 months, want to revert back to my previous contract, it’s all very confusing, can you assist me with that please Matthew_L
