I’m thinking of getting Virgin Stream for my bedroom tv but the 2 main problems I’ve got with it is that I can’t watch recordings from my V6 box downstairs or watch my sport subscriptions which I have on the V6.
Now will this work ? I watch my recordings on my iPad when I’m in bed but it’s very uncomfortable, could I stream from my iPad to the Virgin stream box ? This surely will work !
thanks

I'm sorry, you can't have stream if you have a V6 box, Virgin only offer Stream to people with no other TV service
Edit: You could add a second V6 box but there will be monthly costs and cabling needed.

I had a box in my bedroom for years but removed it 2 years ago. This is stupid planning by VM , then again nothing surprises me about them !.

You cannot stream your own content to the Virgin Stream puck, it's for VM to stream their own content to you. It's not like a Chromecast.

What is stupid about it?
You have a TiVO platform box, which you expect to work with a Horizon platform box. It’s like plugging your iPad into your Windows computer & expecting them to talk to each other seamlessly. The two are totally different operating systems developed by two different companies. Stream is also a Broadband only product that can only internet stream content. It cannot access local hard drives as it is next generation kit.
