Hd channels sometimes unwatchable

My router is positioned close to my telly and everything is setup correctly but sometimes I don't have any HD channels and most of the time, when I do have them, they're unwatchable due to the picture pixelating and stuttering buffering almost. Is this down to my aerial or broadband connection coz I can't watch most live tv on iplayer, itvx etc

Is this on a VM TV box, and if so - which one? TiVo, V6, TV360 or Stream?

Or are you just using your VM broadband to feed an internet-connected device?

Pixellation is not a symptom usually associated with internet-based TV, unless the issue is within the HDMI chain somewhere.
