I pay for a gig but never get anywhere close always get just above the minimum guaranteed. And I think it is being done on purpose to not just me my error pro 6 wired with a gigabyte connection does a speed test every morning at 7.42am why that time I haven't a clue but the speed is consistent 641 to 644mbps and 100mbps upload I would expect this at peak time. can someone explain to me why always so slow

How did you get a hub 5 they just keep knocking me back when I've asked

It would have been several months ago when they were readily available.

Nothing wrong with those BQMs.

You want to run BQM over a Ethernet port when in modem mode as having BQM to router mode is meaningless likely show to same but you never know.

Test modem mode with PC bootup with Linux Mint no need to install for testing speed test.

You can also try a steam download and see if thats limited

Forgive me for asking the most basic question, but I couldn't extract the answer from your previous posts.

How you actually eliminated your own router from the issue by connecting the PC directly to the Hub?

My name is NOT Alessandro. That's just a tag Virginmedia sticks on some contributors. Please ignore it.

When in modem mode the VM hub 4 is connected to a quad core pc with 8gb ram 4x1gb ethernet ports running pfsense software then I connect my eero 6 pro via Ethernet cable 1gb connection if I do speed test from eero they have there own built in or connect my pc with ethernet cable to the eero or pfsense router I get roughly same speed if I put VM hub 4 in router mode that it's in now and connect eero and pc direct to VM hub 4 I get roughly the same outcome on speed test so that tells me it's the VM hub 4 that's slowing my connection down or something from hub 4 back not my stuff

Sorry, that's too much in one sentence for me to take in.

With a PC connected directly to the Hub and nothing else connected, what does samknows say? And what does speedtest.net say, run on the PC?

Sounds like your own equipment is the bottleneck here
