worring calls txts

lyndaT1
On our wavelength

Lately over the last 4 months i have had 3 calls and 5 txt messages  suppose to be off

virgin media [i know it wasnt they think everyones a fool NOT ME ]

i admit i do watch scam interceptors and couple weeks ago a poor old dear got a call from "virgin media"

this call was intercepted these people just kept probeing her to upgrade her account

you know the type of questions account number and so forth

This now makes me very dubious about calls to/from India and think these lines should also be based in the UK

and Ireland

example

few years ago i had to call about my connection so he asked if i would allow remote connection

i said yes [but i know there are only certain areas their allowed to go ]

who ever it was started roaming everywhere documents, private folders  thats when i thought

what are you doing so i asked him he said im trying to figure out why you loose connection

i just said you must think im thick [call ends now] put the phone down

anyway i figured it out myself

Since then i have never trusted calls to or from this country

lyndia

ps something has to be done about who we speak to and who we allow on remote access

because i will not be a victim of scam calls or dishonest VM Staff

VM does not make unsolicited technical support calls out of the blue to customers. When you receive a call like that, claiming to be from VM, it is a scam. Just hang up immediately and do not engage with them.
