Smart Support Emails

I've had a number of emails from healthcheck@accounts.virginmedia.co.uk regarding an issue with my broadband connection linked to smart support - is anyone able to tell me if this is a legitimate? It is asked me to reset my hub which I did via the link but now I'm having doubts and I can't get confirmation from Virgin directly so was advised to post here.

Hello N_b11

Thanks for posting in regards to the email received, we understand the concern this can cause and appreciate you raising this via the forums. Welcome to the community.

We can see you have spoken to the team recently where you were asked to raise this to our phishing team, how to do this can be found here 😊👍

Thanks Robert but that doesn’t help because I was advised by your colleague, who actually really went out of her way to help me, that you won’t get a reply from the phishing email once a concerned is raised so how do I know if a legit email from yourselves or not?

If you receive a 'Spam Content Found' error when forwarding a suspected phishing email to us via Webmail, it means that we're already aware of the email and have taken steps to ensure the email is blocked on our platform. Otherwise you wouldn't receive a response.

Hi Alex, thanks for reaching out. This still doesn’t address my concern and I’m wondering why other post are receiving the following message ‘I would be happy to take a further look into this for you but first I would need to confirm a few details via private message, please look out for my message and we can get started’. Is someone able to do this?

Thanks for coming back to us @N_b11.

We wouldn't be obliged to respond to each post with the following up of a private message.

Referring this to a colleague, I understand that this E-Mail address is a legitimate E-Mail address from Virgin Media.

Thanks,
