SPAM from senders who've been 'blocklisted' still getting through?

Hi.  I've noticed recently that SPAM/phishing emails from senders I've 'blocklisted' on VM Mail are getting through.  Although they're still being identified as SPAM and filtered out, when I try to add the sender to the blocklist, I'm notified that the sender is already on the blocklist.

So why are they getting through?

Terminology is misleading. Adding an email address to blocklist does not stop its delivery, it just moves matched message from Inbox folder to Spam folder.
