Hi there, I’ve seen a few other posts like this, I hope someone can help. We have a website www.gorgeouspaper.co.uk we got targeted by some malicious code a while ago and though it’s all now resolved, the website still seems to be blocked on virgin isp. The only way I can access it at home is to switch off virus safe. Any ideas on what we can do to get this lifted?
Thanks so much.
Jake.

With Edge two error message before the website finally appeared

Putting your domain name into Virus Total
https://www.virustotal.com/gui/home/url
returns between 6 and 9 security providers who are listing your domain as malicious/phishing. This will influence ISP blocking lists.
Different results come back depending on whether the http, https or no-prefix version of your domain name is used. You may need to check your website DNS records to make sure all point back to the https version of your site
Edit: As per example pages from Client62
The website
also does not show blocking by VM but does show Vodafone is blocking some URL variants (http, https etc.) of your domain.
If you think your site is clear of malware your can report to VM as per info here
https://community.virginmedia.com/t5/Forum-Archive/Website-Blocked/m-p/5255715#M3278151
or the NetReport form
https://netreport.virginmedia.com/netreport/
You can also try finding the reporting page for each of the providers listing you on Virus Total and submitting a false-positive report to each one.

Hi @minskybabs,
Thank you for your post and welcome back to our community forums. We're here to help.
I'm sorry to hear that you're facing some issues with access to your website recently. It looks like both @Client62 and @goslow have taken a look and offered some further advice as to why this may be happening. Has this advice helped at all?
Thanks,

For your information, my pihole (ad blocker) is blocking the website because the domain is included on the big oisd blocklist. https://oisd.nl/
The big oisd blocklist is a large combination of dozens of smaller community maintained blocklists so the domain could potentially be listed in several blocklists.

Hi,
We are encountering a similar issue. Our website, "warx.co.uk," was previously compromised by a virus. Since then, we’ve completely rebuilt the site, addressed all issues, and ensured its security. Despite recently relaunching the site on our domain, it is still being blocked by Virgin Media’s Virus Safe feature. Could you offer any suggestions for removing this block? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Update: A few days ago, the site was flagged as blocked by Vodafone on blocked.org.uk, so I sent them an email about it. I've just checked again, and the site no longer appears as blocked. It now opens fine on Virgin Media. However, VirusTotal is still reporting numerous malware issues.

Just for information. I have VM's Essential Security Virus Protection turned on but when I try to access warx.co.uk Bitdefender blocks me from accessing your site.
Bitdefender says
"Dangerous page blocked for your protection
https://warx.co.uk/
Dangerous pages attempt to install software that can harm the device, gather personal information or operate without your consent."
I can access the site via VM if I click to ignore Bitdefender's block so your site does not currently appear to be blocked by Virus Protection. However, Bitdefender then gives me a stern warning that the site contains dangerous links.
As your site is still being blocked by Bitdefender perhaps you need to check the situation with them. Apologies if you are already doing that.
Coenoby
Just to add an update, I have now checked on Virustotal.com and that currently (15.44 07/09/2024) lists 3 vendors who are flagging warx.co.uk as Malicious:
Antiy-AVL, G-Data and Bitdefender.
I'm a Very Insightful Person, I'm here to share knowledge, I don't work for Virgin Media.
