Hi there - like a few other people are reporting my Websafe "Parental Controls" don't appear to be working. They are switched on in the My Virgin Media Online Security page, but websites are not being blocked that should be. I have checked my DNS is correct, and switched off and back on the Parental Controls, and rebooted the router, but the problem still exists.
Please advise how this can be resolved. Thanks

To get you over the hurdle whilst VM fix the issue, you can manually set the DNS on the device(s) to use Cloudflare Adult and Malware filters. Set the DNS to 1.1.1.3 and 1.0.0.3 manually. This will bypass the VM DNS servers until the issue is fixed.

I am so sorry that you are facing these issues with your websafe and a big thank you to Adduxi for their advise here. It may be worth trying this work around but I would also like to have a look on our side and see what has happened and if we can get this resolved. I'll pop you a private message so we can take a closer look.

Hi any answer to this I also have no parental control service again - has happened about 10 times in 4-5 years of virgin media never any apology or explanation for why this happens out of the blue. Dangerous and lack of care for child safety - no filtering active.

Thanks for reaching out to us @AJC12, and we're terribly sorry to hear of the lack of parental controls available at this time, and that this has been a repeat issue.
Do please check out the envelope in the top right hand corner for a private message from me, and I'll aim to have this resolved.
Thanks,

If users feel so strongly about this, there is the option to take matters into their own hands and get a better Router on which they can manage their own child safety options.
