Before you verify your identity, we need you to change your sign in email address to one that isn’t from Virgin Media. Otherwise, if we send the code to your Virgin Media email address you might not be able to access it.

Can we have a third option please - "I have access to my email and don't want to use any other email address"
I don't have another email address to use, if I create a temporary hotmail address that won't be used for any other purpose it will be cancelled at some point in the future and create more problems.

We are very sorry that you are facing issues signing up, we do require you to sign up using a non Virgin email to avoid issues with the email moving forward.
You can create another email to use which allow you to sign up without issue, please do follow the steps provided on this sign up page should you need more guidance.

I’m having this exact issue too, but even though I gave a hotmail address I received no email from Virgin. Pulling my hair out with them. It won’t even let me change my contact telephone number. Did you have any luck?

Just to clarify, I can’t use any ntlworld / virginmedia email address to sign into virgin media ?
(I’ve been with virgin media long enough to have other ntlworld / virgin addresses)

Not so far, but I’m wondering if getting people to move to another email service provider is part of a cost cutting exercise i.e. virgin not providing any email services at all.

To clarify we are advising customer to use a third party email address, so no address that is a variation of a virgin media address.
