Genuine or phishing email ?

I have received many emails over time re my account and contract from the email address email@em.virginmedia.co.uk.  
Can you tell me if this is a legitimate virgin company  email address or is it a phishing or scam email address ?

The address is legitimate but if you ever receive an email you're unsure of that's been addressed from us we'd recommend not actioning anything on it until you speak with us.

Without revealing any sensitive information here, what's the disputed email regarding exactly?

Hi.  Just because emails from an address have been received before does not mean it is legitimate.! 

I have since established from virgin that it is in fact a phishing email address & has been reported as advised by Virgin .
